Streator jumped out to the early lead in the first inning when they tallied 5
runs on 6 hits. The key offensive moment was provided by Chipper Jones who
deflated the crowd as he cracked a two-run shot (his 25th of the season).
Streator bats were very productive in the 1st inning when they had 5 runs on
6 hits and the 3rd inning which saw them plate 6 runs on 4 hits. Both teams
ended up with 18 hits on the afternoon.
Oliver Perez(8-7) picked up the victory, allowing 8 runs in 7 and 1/3 innings.
